Teachers and Handshakes

Good morning. I hope you all are well. So, yesterday I was about to take the contract issue to the principal, but first I checked with my history teacher to make sure it was the right move. (He is amazing. All of my english teacher's students turn to him for help, I think it's pretty funny. It also says something about where our respect lies.) A few others were asking him the same basic questions about rules that teachers have to follow at this school. He assured the whole class that the issue as far as he knows had already been resolved. Multiple students and teachers had brought it to the attention of authoritative individuals in the school who had confronted her about it.
On a lighter note, my math teacher as I am discovering, knows me quite well. LOL. He knows that I turn around in my desk only after I am done with my work. (Like my legs stick out of the side and my upper body faces either sideways or backwards.)
{Why?}
Well, my friend Monster sits directly behind me and I like to watch her work. When she is done too we chit chat or play around with our glasses or make faces at each other. It is pure tomfoolery, completely ridiculous. But fun. There is also a really cute guy who sits behind me. He doesn't look up that often because he is either working or on his phone, so I sometimes watch him work too. He is on the soccer team, #8. I have his phone number. He has really nice skin. Like creamy and smooth looking. I know that sounds super weird. There is another guy with skin like that. His name is Matthew. He is in AVID and ROTC. The Colonel introduced us. (Well told us to introduce ourselves). Matthew only sometimes recognizes me. But the first time we met he taught me some silly handshake and told me that it was the AVID secret handshake, so I remember him. Twoish days ago he said that WASN'T the AVID handshake. The special shake is just a normal handshake while you introduce yourself. He demonstrated for me but kept messing up so we were just holding shaking hands for a very long time. Long enough to make me blush. Well, the bell is about to ring so I have to go. If I have time later today I will keep writing. If not, have a great day.

Okay. I am in Spanish class again. We don't have a new assignment yet so yup. I am just listening to Russian music and writing a blog. Good times. So today dad woke me up, which means I slept in. Like the door opened and he said, "It's six o five." (I think that was the time.) Usually I leap out of bed like Oh shoot I slept in!
Nope. Not today. I rolled over and realized my lack of drive to begin the day. Then inwardly I was like shoot, it's going to be a long day if I don't find my drive. Needless to say, it has proved to be a long day. As soon as I got downstairs I had to take the dogs on a walk. In the cold. I didn't have coffee. I needed to pee. The dogs refused to walk half of the time. It was rough. But when I was done I shrugged it off and got my coffee (after going to the bathroom). Then I realized that it was 10 minutes until I intended to leave so that I could take pictures of drill practice for my ROTC spread for the yearbook. #2 was still asleep. I went into her room and yelled at her, "Seriously? Get out of bed! We have to leave in ten minutes!"
She got mad at me.
Whatever.
Anyway, we finally got to school and I speed walked down to the ROTC compound. I took like five pictures, got what I needed and went to the cafeteria to do the Bible reading that we have been doing.
everyday I read a chapter out loud to my sister and whoever else happens to be sitting with us and we usually discuss it a little bit. (y'all know I read King James, which is hard to understand for most people so I want to make sure they get it. Also explaining things helps me to get them as well.)
Today we read John chapter 2. That is the part where Jesus did His first miracle. Turning water into wine at a wedding. His mother showed great faith in Him when she told the servants of the bridegroom to do whatever Jesus told them without question. When they did, He rewarded her faith with an incredible miracle. He turned water into wine that was called the best wine. Pretty darn amazing. We should all have faith like Mary.
I know I don't. That is something that I need to work on. I know God can and will move  hearts here in the school, but trusting that He will is so much harder. Surely you understand? IDK. Keep me in your prayers, and all of the people that I interact with that need Christ. I often do not know how to give them the gospel without sounding random or hokey or turning them off. Yeap.  Anyway, I think the period is almost over. I am going to work on the photography blog tonight so hopefully it will be up and posted tomorrow. I will post a link to it here when I have posted it. Have a great day.

How To Write a Limerick

Good morning, People! How was your sleep? Mine was alright. In my dream, my buddy Flash found my lost Starbucks gift card. He was like SWEEET until I told him it was mine. Then he looked a bit bummed. I (seeing this sad face and not particularly liking it) decided to make a deal. "Tell you what. You can keep the card if you promise to get coffee with me." "You do not have control over that stuff." He took my card and walked away. Fereal? Who does that??? LOL. Fortunately it was just a dream. I still have my half spent gift card. Now that we have talked just a bit, it is time to get serious. We are going to write a Limerick. {What in tar nation is a Limerick?}Hold your horses, I am about to explain. A Limerick is a form of poem following an A-A-B-B-A pattern. This means that lines 1,2,and 5 rhyme and lines 3, and 4 also rhyme. The lines labeled "A" are longer than the others and have the same rhythm. I will try to write a Limerick right now. (I literally...

Decorate a Leader Night

Hello. Today is Thursday. I wasn't sure what to write about to be honest. The past twelve hours have been a bit like an emotional rollercoaster. I would rather not discuss it right now.  So instead, I decided to talk about poetry. I don't really want to do that though. My brain is a bit mushy. However! I did find this sonnet by Shakespeare. I really like the last line in the sonnet. It just stands out in sharp contrast. I must show you. Here you go, Sonnet 65 by Shakespeare. Sonnet 65 Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality o’er-sways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? O, how shall summer’s honey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt’ring days, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays? O fearful meditation! where, alack, Shall time’s best jewel from time’s chest lie hid? Or what strong hand can hol...

Lonely in the Crowd

At the sight of a title like that, you may be feeling...idk a little shocked, a little curious, maybe confused.  That is just the title of my poem that I wrote yesterday.  It has been long inspired, but had cooled down for a while. (I only write good poems if I am feeling the displayed emotion) Saturday afternoon I was either completely ignored by a guy I was trying to speak to or just unheard.  Either way, it happens a lot and brought back that same lonely emotion that inspired the poem. I was admittedly a bit angry because I hate being ignored, but I was also like,  "Ooh, now I can write that poem." I wrote it after church yesterday.  Here it is. Lonely in the Crowd Like an unseen mime In the unseen box I stand here, Invisible, lost. Unseen by those around Here I am Lonely in the crowd. All around are smiling faces That do not see I'm in the darkest of places. Can you not see me? Here I am Lonely in the crowd. Not for lack of...
