4x5 Photo Fest

Good morning People. I hope that you are well. Sorry that my post is sooooooo late, I had a busy weekend. On Saturday I went to the 4x5 Photo fest with my family. Last year it was really awesome but this year was a little bland. If you don't know what I am talking about, let me tell you.
Basically, you submit a photo and the people order 5 copies of that photo with the dimensions 4x5. (Hence the name.) You come, get your photos and trade them with other camera nerds photographers. It reminds me of kids in the street trading like Pokemon cards to be honest. This event is also a good opportunity for companies to advertise their photography services such as the print shop that is always there. (They provide the pictures) I don't remember the name of the company, but the guy who seems to be in charge is really nice. We were talking about school and photography and he knew Jim Landers in high school before he was a business man. (I think that is his name)
Very nerdy, usually very fun event. This year, nobody wanted to trade though so yeah...
Actually, I traded four of my five photos (all identical). Mom however, only traded one. That was with me. Nobody wanted hers for some reason, even though I think hers was better than mine. Here, I will show you mine.

Wow, that was way too hard. Anyway, um...Sunday was pretty boring and we cleaned the house yesterday. My grandparents flew in last night. Well, this is a really short post but I am super distracted. Tomorrow I will have a poem for you. I started writing one two days ago while I was brushing my teeth. Have a great day.

How To Write a Limerick

Good morning, People! How was your sleep? Mine was alright. In my dream, my buddy Flash found my lost Starbucks gift card. He was like SWEEET until I told him it was mine. Then he looked a bit bummed. I (seeing this sad face and not particularly liking it) decided to make a deal. "Tell you what. You can keep the card if you promise to get coffee with me." "You do not have control over that stuff." He took my card and walked away. Fereal? Who does that??? LOL. Fortunately it was just a dream. I still have my half spent gift card. Now that we have talked just a bit, it is time to get serious. We are going to write a Limerick. {What in tar nation is a Limerick?}Hold your horses, I am about to explain. A Limerick is a form of poem following an A-A-B-B-A pattern. This means that lines 1,2,and 5 rhyme and lines 3, and 4 also rhyme. The lines labeled "A" are longer than the others and have the same rhythm. I will try to write a Limerick right now. (I literally...

Decorate a Leader Night

Hello. Today is Thursday. I wasn't sure what to write about to be honest. The past twelve hours have been a bit like an emotional rollercoaster. I would rather not discuss it right now.  So instead, I decided to talk about poetry. I don't really want to do that though. My brain is a bit mushy. However! I did find this sonnet by Shakespeare. I really like the last line in the sonnet. It just stands out in sharp contrast. I must show you. Here you go, Sonnet 65 by Shakespeare. Sonnet 65 Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality o’er-sways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? O, how shall summer’s honey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt’ring days, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays? O fearful meditation! where, alack, Shall time’s best jewel from time’s chest lie hid? Or what strong hand can hol...

Lonely in the Crowd

At the sight of a title like that, you may be feeling...idk a little shocked, a little curious, maybe confused.  That is just the title of my poem that I wrote yesterday.  It has been long inspired, but had cooled down for a while. (I only write good poems if I am feeling the displayed emotion) Saturday afternoon I was either completely ignored by a guy I was trying to speak to or just unheard.  Either way, it happens a lot and brought back that same lonely emotion that inspired the poem. I was admittedly a bit angry because I hate being ignored, but I was also like,  "Ooh, now I can write that poem." I wrote it after church yesterday.  Here it is. Lonely in the Crowd Like an unseen mime In the unseen box I stand here, Invisible, lost. Unseen by those around Here I am Lonely in the crowd. All around are smiling faces That do not see I'm in the darkest of places. Can you not see me? Here I am Lonely in the crowd. Not for lack of...
