Good morning, People. Today is Thursday. (I know this because I attended church last night and pastor talked about Augustine.) It was very interesting. I was leaning forward in my seat most of the lesson. He said that we should read Augustine's Confessions and City of God. Both of these I intend to read if I have the time/if I remember. I am wearing headphones right now so I decided to play some "music for brain power" on YouTube. Nuh uh. Totally lost my train of thought. Poof, disappeared, gone forever. I will just wear the headphones to block out the noise.
Where was I? Oh yeah, so y'all remember that I was trying a new method of Bible study? I showed Pastor what information I have gathered this week and he seemed very pleased. On either Friday or Saturday I think I will pile it up into a fluent expression of information and that will be my post. Then you guys will be all that much smarter. (I will too, because make like an essay out of information helps me to remember it.)
Yesterday, my sister (#2) gave me an adorable little rubix cube. I honestly probably tried not to smile, but she said my smile was like huge....it's like a baby rubix cube you guys. It just fits in the palm of my hand and it is so cute. It takes a little longer to solve though because the joints are a bit tight.
Also yesterday I finished my curriculum. That was exciting. To celebrate, I am going to finish my math book.
Now, what should we learn together? oh! I have to judge the entries to my challenge! Wait, there are none. Disregard. (C'mon People, why yuh gotta leave me hanging?) We shall learn something then. Um.... Let's talk about the Bold Faced Jumping Spider.
{*shrieks* Not spiders!}
Yes, spiders.😈 Isn't he cute?

Just like a puppy. Here is an above view:
Got those from Google. I think they are adorable. Let's get some solid facts though. There isn't really too much information on these little guys. Their scientific name is Phidippus audax, they are hunting spiders. Fairly easy to recognize. Fuzzy, black and white with sometimes orange patterns. Also their fangs often have a green shiny hue thing going on. From my experience, they live all over the place. Seriously, go to your nearest park, you will find one. (They always seem to be on the park equipment.) These little guys don't build webs. Instead they hunt by pouncing on their prey. They are not poisonous to humans and in general don't bite, but are actually afraid of us. I just read that because of this fear, collectors find them hard to catch...I have never had this issue...
Females are usually between 1/4 and 3/4 of an inch while the males are smaller than 1/2 an inch. (Not including legs.) They eat caterpillars, bugs and other spiders. The positioning of their eyes gives them a 360 degree view. (That's why I can't sneak up behind them!) Also the two biggest eyes give a sort of 3D or binocular vision allowing for more precise attacks. (on bugs, not people)
Well this is interesting. The male dances, if the female comes at him too quickly, he retreats. (Who knows, she might eat him.) If not, they reproduce. The female can have up to 6 clutches of somewhere between 30-170 eggs throughout the summer. These spiders mate when they are about 9 months old from late spring to late summer. They hunt during the day and hide in small crevices at night. They live in like, piles of leaves and the like. Oh my goodness, look at the time! I've been here for over an hour. That is about all I have for you guys on this... I know it is skimpy, but that it what I found. In my personal experience, these guys are great for carrying around if you know someone who is afraid of spiders. (Put it on their shoulder.) If your kid is carrying it around, don't worry, these things rarely bite. That is why I love the Bold Faced Jumper so much. Well, have a good day. Your thoughts, comments, etc are always appreciated.

Mating
It all starts with a mating dance. (I love those so much)Well this is interesting. The male dances, if the female comes at him too quickly, he retreats. (Who knows, she might eat him.)
