How was School, Cowgirl?

Hi guys! So yesterday went pretty well. I survived and even made some acquaintances. I started the day off by looking around the school with my neighbor and #2. Then we had breakfast (It was a sad breakfast, not even a whole slice of bread's worth of french toast and some peaches in a cup and Powerade zero. I grabbed the Powerade because it was blue.) Then we were about to start heading toward our classes when I saw a man standing next to like a TV camera. So naturally I asked if he was the TV guy. (My neighbor was like, "Keep me away from that camera"She clearly doesn't understand that she is part of history in the making.) The man interviewed me. When the video is online I will post a link probably. In journalism I met a girl that seemed nice, and I met another girl that I have math and history with. She talked a lot during history which frustrated me a little bit. Hopefully she doesn't always do that. She helped me navigate the lunch line. After math was history and then English and then lunch...it was like 1:30 and after my skimpy breakfast I was super hungry. I should totally bring a snack today. LOL. My friend doesn't eat fruits or vegetables though so she gave me her salad. I was nice and full after lunch. I should sit with her more often. ;) After lunch was AFJROTC. On the way there I met a freshman with curly wavy hair and he liked my "Style". (I had a sparkly sweater) He also said that my hat makes me look "dope". I just assumed that means cool. The little guy was kind of cute lol. (By little I mean he was probably taller than me) There was a sophomre in ROTC as well that caught my attention. We were headed toward the same doorway at the same moment and he stopped to let me go first. (Well, we both stopped but he stopped and insisted that I go.) Then a few minutes later I was talking to the MSGT so we were the last through and he waited for me (us) and held the door even though we were a distance down the hallway. I was like, that is so sweet. Later dad was all, "Was he cute?"
IDK but he was polite and he smiled at me. Chivalry being good with children is what makes guys attractive in my book.
The MSGT told me that there is a no hat policy. That made me sad. But as a leader in many areas I have decided to be mature about it and not argue.
Later I ran into a kid from driver's ed. He pulled a stinger out of my neck so when I noticed him walking next to me I immediately recognized him. He took a little longer to remember me. That was the one time I got lost because I was distracted and following my distraction down the wrong hallway toward the tennis courts...
Whoops. That was pretty much my day. It was fun and exciting. Today is day two. I must go now, you guys have a good day. 😁The Kids are awake.

How To Write a Limerick

Good morning, People! How was your sleep? Mine was alright. In my dream, my buddy Flash found my lost Starbucks gift card. He was like SWEEET until I told him it was mine. Then he looked a bit bummed. I (seeing this sad face and not particularly liking it) decided to make a deal. "Tell you what. You can keep the card if you promise to get coffee with me." "You do not have control over that stuff." He took my card and walked away. Fereal? Who does that??? LOL. Fortunately it was just a dream. I still have my half spent gift card. Now that we have talked just a bit, it is time to get serious. We are going to write a Limerick. {What in tar nation is a Limerick?}Hold your horses, I am about to explain. A Limerick is a form of poem following an A-A-B-B-A pattern. This means that lines 1,2,and 5 rhyme and lines 3, and 4 also rhyme. The lines labeled "A" are longer than the others and have the same rhythm. I will try to write a Limerick right now. (I literally...

Decorate a Leader Night

Hello. Today is Thursday. I wasn't sure what to write about to be honest. The past twelve hours have been a bit like an emotional rollercoaster. I would rather not discuss it right now.  So instead, I decided to talk about poetry. I don't really want to do that though. My brain is a bit mushy. However! I did find this sonnet by Shakespeare. I really like the last line in the sonnet. It just stands out in sharp contrast. I must show you. Here you go, Sonnet 65 by Shakespeare. Sonnet 65 Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality o’er-sways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? O, how shall summer’s honey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt’ring days, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays? O fearful meditation! where, alack, Shall time’s best jewel from time’s chest lie hid? Or what strong hand can hol...

Lonely in the Crowd

At the sight of a title like that, you may be feeling...idk a little shocked, a little curious, maybe confused.  That is just the title of my poem that I wrote yesterday.  It has been long inspired, but had cooled down for a while. (I only write good poems if I am feeling the displayed emotion) Saturday afternoon I was either completely ignored by a guy I was trying to speak to or just unheard.  Either way, it happens a lot and brought back that same lonely emotion that inspired the poem. I was admittedly a bit angry because I hate being ignored, but I was also like,  "Ooh, now I can write that poem." I wrote it after church yesterday.  Here it is. Lonely in the Crowd Like an unseen mime In the unseen box I stand here, Invisible, lost. Unseen by those around Here I am Lonely in the crowd. All around are smiling faces That do not see I'm in the darkest of places. Can you not see me? Here I am Lonely in the crowd. Not for lack of...
