Cowboys and Posting Colors

Hello people. How are you guys? I am physically and mentally exhausted. (She says on Thursday). Yesterday, I was in the cafeteria about to eat breakfast with a pregnant girl (She looks pregnant. She might just have some wacky parasite.) from my algebra class when the Colonel calls me. I really like the Colonel so naturally I came. (Also he is in charge so I have to do what he says, but in this case I did so because I wanted to.) He told me to go help the boy with the maroon shirt. This boy, fereal think classic cowboy and that is what he looked like. He had the hat, jeans, boots, belt, the long sleeve button up shirt. (you know what I'm talking about?) His backpack was even camouflage. Usually I really like cowboys, but at that moment I was thinking that I might have to say farewell to breakfast. Service before self. I came up to the cowboy and said, "I think I am supposed to help you with something." (Really lame opening line, I was nervous because I didn't know what I was doing, k?) He told me to find two more cadets. At that moment I could only think of two, and one hadn't arrived yet. (I had spoken to the other though, so I knew he was there.) I started playing Where's So-And-So (My favorite game. Basically Where's Waldo) and almost instantly I spotted him.
"There's K." (His name isn't K, I'm the only one who calls him that.) So we grab K and one other cadet and go to get the American flag. You can see where I'm going, right? I helped put up the flag. K wasn't very pleasant to work with, I think he was annoyed that I don't know how to march or really do anything related to what we were doing. The cowboy was sweet though. He showed me how to hold the flag properly. Oh, also he had been up since four thirty because he had to feed the cows and horses. (The moment he said that, I was like, "I like you." I didn't say that though.) Cowboys in general are like, my favorite people because they have good manners. (Amongst other reasons) I ended up eating lunch with K and my two female friends. (He is friends with the girl from journalism so I was like, yeah he can join us if he wants.) He went and got a chair just for me. The small act of chivalry will remain unforgotten. He might have an unreliable temper but he is kind. After school I went to speak with the lady in charge of Cheer concerning a mascot... She was on duty so we rescheduled to meet today during my seventh period which is ROTC. I already got the good to go from MSgt Hickman, so I just have to wait and not forget.
Well mom says I have to go now. It's 6:21. Bye y'all.
(Other things happened throughout the day too, obviously. Everyday is an adventure.

How To Write a Limerick

Good morning, People! How was your sleep? Mine was alright. In my dream, my buddy Flash found my lost Starbucks gift card. He was like SWEEET until I told him it was mine. Then he looked a bit bummed. I (seeing this sad face and not particularly liking it) decided to make a deal. "Tell you what. You can keep the card if you promise to get coffee with me." "You do not have control over that stuff." He took my card and walked away. Fereal? Who does that??? LOL. Fortunately it was just a dream. I still have my half spent gift card. Now that we have talked just a bit, it is time to get serious. We are going to write a Limerick. {What in tar nation is a Limerick?}Hold your horses, I am about to explain. A Limerick is a form of poem following an A-A-B-B-A pattern. This means that lines 1,2,and 5 rhyme and lines 3, and 4 also rhyme. The lines labeled "A" are longer than the others and have the same rhythm. I will try to write a Limerick right now. (I literally...

Decorate a Leader Night

Hello. Today is Thursday. I wasn't sure what to write about to be honest. The past twelve hours have been a bit like an emotional rollercoaster. I would rather not discuss it right now.  So instead, I decided to talk about poetry. I don't really want to do that though. My brain is a bit mushy. However! I did find this sonnet by Shakespeare. I really like the last line in the sonnet. It just stands out in sharp contrast. I must show you. Here you go, Sonnet 65 by Shakespeare. Sonnet 65 Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality o’er-sways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? O, how shall summer’s honey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt’ring days, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays? O fearful meditation! where, alack, Shall time’s best jewel from time’s chest lie hid? Or what strong hand can hol...

Lonely in the Crowd

At the sight of a title like that, you may be feeling...idk a little shocked, a little curious, maybe confused.  That is just the title of my poem that I wrote yesterday.  It has been long inspired, but had cooled down for a while. (I only write good poems if I am feeling the displayed emotion) Saturday afternoon I was either completely ignored by a guy I was trying to speak to or just unheard.  Either way, it happens a lot and brought back that same lonely emotion that inspired the poem. I was admittedly a bit angry because I hate being ignored, but I was also like,  "Ooh, now I can write that poem." I wrote it after church yesterday.  Here it is. Lonely in the Crowd Like an unseen mime In the unseen box I stand here, Invisible, lost. Unseen by those around Here I am Lonely in the crowd. All around are smiling faces That do not see I'm in the darkest of places. Can you not see me? Here I am Lonely in the crowd. Not for lack of...
