Missing You

I told you I would write a poem, and I keep my word. I just finished it. (It is 6:50 am) I hope you are all doing well today. I am...spazzing. This week I need to pack for camp, finish like...at least three more weeks of school, and act like a normal person. This week I happen to be babysitting for hours like everyday and someone keeps texting me. 😧 I do not text often, but I am a last word texter so if you text me, I have to text back. It is a very prison like cycle. {Why don't you just tell them to stop texting you, Cowgirl?} Well cuz. It is rude. Duh. Also what if I am being texted about something actually important??? Not that it ever turns out to be important. Nobody ever texts me anything important. Nothing like, Help I have been kidnapped! The most important message I get is like... I am very angry with these people for this reason. A surprising amount of people feel the need to trust me with this stuff. (Like three.) I guess I am just a very....comforting person? Who knows. Okay, well I have to leave to babysit in like five minutes ish so I will give you my poem now. I wrote it for my friend, he knows who he is. (If any of you comment, be gentle.)

Missing You
Down here living life as before
Except not really
Because now here
I am missing you.
Sometimes the ache is small like nothing's wrong
Other times it is an all
Consuming desire
To see your gay smiling face once more.
I must admit this painful truth:
Everyday I am missing you.
Missing your smile, your eyes, your laugh.
Missing the weight of you on back.
Missing how you and I always liked
To hide in trees those holiday nights.
I miss the days when I'd wake up to see
You each morning: first thing,
Wrapped like a child in your giant comforter
With your early morning bed head hair.
I miss you fiddling aimlessly with
My long dark plaited tresses.
And always those long and sweet
Affectionate embraces between you and me.
Now I am sure you know,
Tis' no charade
Why I've been missing you everyday.
I can always rest assured,
That as much as I miss you
You are
Always going to miss me too.

I hope you enjoy my poem. Have a nice day, people. (Just so you know, my friend is not dead. Not sure if I maybe gave that impression.) Have a great day!

First Post/ Finding Inspiration

As This is my first ever blog post, I thought this random writing rather suits the situation.  Enjoy. 😎   Here I sit, trying to find some inspiration for my pen to express on this page.  I close my eyes and let my thoughts sink into the depths of my soul in search of emotion.  All is pitch black, yet I can see; no, feel the dread beasts nearby.  Anger breathes down my neck while Ignorant Joy juggles knives in an effort to comfort Self Conscious who is weeping in the corner.  The more dangerous emotions I prefer to keep locked in steel cages.  To my left, Fear growls and tries to convince me to let him out.   Behind me, red hot Anger still heaves his fiery breath, singeing the hairs on my neck.  To my right, are Love and Trust.  By far the most dangerous of the group, yet also the most inspiring.  Together they conspire over an intense game of cards how they will soon rule the world.  I boldly approach them and twist the key...

How To Write a Limerick

Good morning, People! How was your sleep? Mine was alright. In my dream, my buddy Flash found my lost Starbucks gift card. He was like SWEEET until I told him it was mine. Then he looked a bit bummed. I (seeing this sad face and not particularly liking it) decided to make a deal. "Tell you what. You can keep the card if you promise to get coffee with me." "You do not have control over that stuff." He took my card and walked away. Fereal? Who does that??? LOL. Fortunately it was just a dream. I still have my half spent gift card. Now that we have talked just a bit, it is time to get serious. We are going to write a Limerick. {What in tar nation is a Limerick?}Hold your horses, I am about to explain. A Limerick is a form of poem following an A-A-B-B-A pattern. This means that lines 1,2,and 5 rhyme and lines 3, and 4 also rhyme. The lines labeled "A" are longer than the others and have the same rhythm. I will try to write a Limerick right now. (I literally...

Decorate a Leader Night

Hello. Today is Thursday. I wasn't sure what to write about to be honest. The past twelve hours have been a bit like an emotional rollercoaster. I would rather not discuss it right now.  So instead, I decided to talk about poetry. I don't really want to do that though. My brain is a bit mushy. However! I did find this sonnet by Shakespeare. I really like the last line in the sonnet. It just stands out in sharp contrast. I must show you. Here you go, Sonnet 65 by Shakespeare. Sonnet 65 Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality o’er-sways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? O, how shall summer’s honey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt’ring days, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays? O fearful meditation! where, alack, Shall time’s best jewel from time’s chest lie hid? Or what strong hand can hol...
